Shortly after debuting their new watch line in Geneva at SIHH (Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie) 2011 , Cartier went on to host a Post SIHH event in Las Vegas. Held in the Prestige Lounge at the Palazzo, Post SIHH is an invitation only event designed to introduce Cartier’s new watch line exclusively to their dealers.
For this event, Cartier wanted to turn the Prestige Lounge, a 12,000 square foot space, into a luxurious, Cartier-branded atmosphere. Due to the immaculate work that Gilbert Displays has done in crafting Cartier’s espaces and boutiques, they were chosen to help create this temporary environment.
As part of this transformation Gilbert manufactured 7 standalone booths to serve as sales conference rooms, each of which were reminiscent of an authentic Cartier boutique. Every element from the panels used for the walls down to the branding images adorning the space was crafted with the intricacy and class of the Cartier name.
Turning the Prestige Lounge into a lavish Cartier setting was no small task. The most challenging aspect of this transformation was the logistics of set up and break down. With only 14 hours to transform the Prestige Lounge, the Gilbert team had to unload over a dozen crates from the hotel’s dock and literally carry the conference rooms piece by piece up 23 floors before a second truckload of client product, pictures, vitrines, furniture and electronics could receive the same treatment.
As always, the Gilbert Displays team was on task and completed the transformation with time to spare. The event completed with success and Cartier was delighted.
